Spring and Summer Wine Evenings with Peter Boyd

The Organic Wine Explosion - Tuesday, June 7th, 2016, 6:30pm

 

Twenty years ago, a few earnest people were making organic wines but most producers back then were better grape growers than winemakers. That has changed radically and now the organic wine movement as a phenomenon has grown exponentially and the wines are some of the best in the world.

 

Tonight we’ll explore the different methodologies and levels of organic, bio-dynamic and natural wines and see how they taste, how they differ and how they work with Indian food. The movement has exploded globally and the wines have never been better! Delicious and good for you!

Indian-Inspired Summer Recipe Contest

We’re running a contest to create a delicious Indian-inspired summer recipe. The winning recipe will be featured on our summer menu!

 

Contest details:

 

Create a new Indian-inspired dish for your chance to win:

  • -Your recipe to be featured on the Pukka menu for 2 (two) weeks.
  •  
  • -The winning dish will be featured on our social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) with full recognition and links back to the winner’s blog (if any).

  • -$250 gift certificate to Pukka. (No cash value)

  • The process:

  • -Between the dates of May 20th, 2016 and June 30th, 2016 participants can email their recipe to info@pukka.ca, with the subject line: Pukka Recipe Contest Entry. This email will constitute each participant’s official entry.

  • -One entry only per person.
  •  
  • -The email entry must also include participant’s full name, and phone number.

  • Judging panel:
  •  
  • Pukka owners Harsh Chawla and Derek Valleau, and 2 or more chef judges from Pukka.
 

Official Rules & Regulations for the Pukka Recipe Contest

 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Pukka Recipe Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. EDT May 20th, 2016 and ends 11:59 p.m. EDT June 30th, 2016. Judging to select the finalists will take place by July 10th, 2016. The winner will be notified by July 12th, 2016.

 

Eligibility

 

This challenge is only open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are at least 18 years of age as of January 1, 2016. Individual contestants can enter only once.

 

The employees of Pukka and the immediate families and those living in the same household of any of the above are not eligible. All federal, provincial and local rules and regulations apply.

 

Contest Entries

 

Once submitted online Pukka reserves the right to use the recipes and images of the dishes for promotional purposes, with credit to be given to entrants.

 

By entering this challenge, entrants grant consent to use winners' name and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation (except where prohibited). All challenge rules are subject to change by Pukka without notice.
